PLAIN TOWNSHIP is one of the only
Communities in Stark County
DEBT FREE, NOT IN A DEFICIT
with a
BALANCED BUDGET
Today’s economic realities have created many challenges for every community across Stark County, over the last 16 years, 10 which I have served as president of the Board of Trustees I have worked hard making sure our local government does not out grow our residents ability to cover its expenses by preparing for the challenges we are all now experiencing though sound conservative budgeting and planning. I learned the best ways to address these challenges is listening to people every day in our community dealing with thier own financial issues personally, understand them and than find ways to be proactive finding ways to work together for the greater good of the community. This why Plain Township is financially solvent, debt free and operates with a balanced budget. This is why I am running again to be one of your Plain Township Trustees and I will continue working to keep Plain Township a great place to live, work and raise our families.
* Continued Regional Collaboration of Services: Plain Township must continue to enter in discussions with our neighboring communities that move toward more collaborate agreements that will share existing services such as the current Police contact we have with the Sheriff’s Office and the immediate response agreement with Jackson Township Fire and EMS that is saving Plain millions of dollars annually over having our own police department or building additional fire stations.
* Joint Economic Development Agreements: These types of agreements will attract and give new and existing businesses incentives to locate and expand in Plain Township. They allow for Plain Township to partner with our neighboring cities and townships to share resources such as their existing economic development resources that will bring new revenue into our community and create family sustainable jobs.
"I have worked hard to cultivate strong relationships all across Stark County and the State of Ohio and I have been working hard toward the goals of more regionalized collaboration with our neighboring communities that will continue to save us all tax dollars; Plain Township has already saved millions of dollars over the creation of duplicating services. I am confident that we are on the door step with many of the communities in Stark County to making services more efficient and more cost effective that will attract new business and create jobs. Plain Township and all of Stark County must move in this direction and this must be kept the top priority of your Board of Trustees.”
